Mola Mola Swimwear

Mola Mola is a modern beachwear brand that handmakes beautiful and bold swimwear with a tropical spirit. The brand was founded in 20211 by sisters Ana Cecilia and Adriana Dangond, who reside between Barranquilla and Bogotá. Growing up by the Caribbean Sea in Columbia, they wanted to create a brand that highlighted the vibrant and colourful energy of the Caribbean. The name Mola Mola is after a unique moonfish that can be in the ocean all over the world, this is to represent their vision of seeing their swimwear and accessories worn all over the world.

Along with working with bold, beautiful and unique Caribbean-inspired colours and prints, their goal with the brand was to ensure that the swimwear was made so that families could shop and wear it together. All pieces in the collection are versatile and designed to be able to mix-n-match the prints as well as to be worn by both kids and adults. Mola Mola is a family's one-stop shop for tropical, ethically made pieces.

Mola Mola also creates playful and fun swimwear for kids. Their collection of swimwear contains a lot of different playful swim styles with matching prints to the adult collection so the family can match. The collection contains swimwear for boys, girls and babies with sizes ranging from 0 - 12 years. Mola Mola swimwear is well-fitting, durable, and high quality, making it perfect for swimming and playing in the surf, sand, pool, or sea.

Along with two-piece and one-piece swimwear for girls and shorts for boys, the collection also has a range of beach clothing to match. The vibrant colours and chic patterns make these swimsuits great for the beach, resort, and beyond.

Mola Mola is a brand that gives back. Their materials are sourced, and collections are produced nationally in Columbia to make sure that they give back to local communities. It is proudly BIPOC and female-led, and all pieces in the collection are handmade by skilled artisans in the Colombian community. Along with being ethically produced, all swimwear and accessories are made with high-quality materials and fabrics that are made to last. Mola Mola prides itself on using innovative and sustainable materials such as lycra made out of recycled plastic PET bottles. However, this is just the beginning, Mola Mola's long-term ambition is to become 100% sustainable and ensure that there is minimal impact along with the supply chain.
